Latest Jackass: The Movie update straight from Johnny Knoxville
Here's what is going on lately with the crew: Johnny just got back from a recent visit to Tokyo for the MTV Music Awards Japan (which airs only in Japan). They wrapped shooting on the movie ten days ago, and since it was edited as they went, there has already been an audience screening. The reaction was thru the fucking roof and everyone is very excited by it. There are a few things that have to be removed to get a R rating though, because when it was shown to the Motion Pictures Association of America (the MPAA is who rates the movies) they were given a *surprise* NC-17 rating. No big deal though because there is PLENTY of footage to replace the few things that have to get nixed.

Release Date: August 9th, 2002 (pushed back a few weeks from July 12th, 2002; first reported here as June/July, 2002; basically being rushed into theaters, with filming taking place quickly and quietly...)

Cast: Johnny Knoxville, Ryan Dunn, Bam Margera, Steve O; other cast not announced yet. See the IMDB listing for a list of stuntpeople who might costar. One of the people who might appear in this movie (since he's a fan of the show and appeared in two episodes) is... Brad Pitt.
